2022 US Open leaderboard: Live coverage, golf scores today, updates from Round 2 at The Country Club

Canadian Adam Hadwin commands the solo lead entering the second round of the 2022 US Open. One of five players inside the top six on the leaderboard who had to go through sectional qualifying in order to gain entry into this week’s field, Hadwin’s 4-under 66 puts him one stroke clear of his nearest pursuers, one of whom is 2011 US Open champion Rory McIlroy.

Hot off the successful defense of his RBC Canadian Open title, the Northern Irishman was nearly flawless en route to what was a bogey-free first round … through 17 holes. One stroke behind McIlroy are a trio of former USGA champions like Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose and Matt Fitzpatrick all signed for 2-under 68s during the breezy afternoon wave.

Despite a number of big names within two of Hadwin, his biggest concern may lie with those who currently sit at 1 under. Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris and Max Homa were all able to play themselves into red figures with their Thursday performances. With 54 holes yet to unfold, these titans of the game are sure to make their claim on this championship.
