No. 20 Florida at No. 11 Vols, other Week 4 games

Every week throughout this season, GoVols247’s Patrick Brown, Ryan Callahan, Ben McKee, Grant Ramey and Wes Rucker will make their predictions for the biggest games in college football — focusing on the Southeastern Conference and top-25 teams — and, of course, weigh in on how Tennessee will fare.

If you weren’t able to participate in our annual GoVols247 Pick ‘Em competition, which is already under way, feel free to post your own picks — or point out the flaws in the GoVols247 staff’s predictions — in the comments below this story.

Before we reveal our picks for Week 4, here’s a quick look at last week’s results:

WEEK 3 RESULTS

Wes Rucker 19-7

Patrick Brown 18-8

Grant Ramey 14-12

Ryan Callahan 11-15

Ben McKee 13-13

OVERALL RECORDS

Wes Rucker 49-23

Patrick Brown 41-31

Grant Ramey 41-31

Ryan Callahan 40-32

Ben McKee 38-34

Without further ado, it’s on with the picks, starting with Tennessee’s home game against Florida.

The 11th-ranked Vols (3-0) are coming off a 63-6 rout of Akron last week, while the No. 20 Gators (2-1, 0-1 SEC) bounced back from a loss to Kentucky a week earlier with a 31-28 win over USF.

FLORIDA (+10.5) AT TENNESSEE

Patrick Brown’s prediction

When I look at this game from a football standpoint, most of it points to a Tennessee win. The Vols are the better team with the better quarterback. They are at home and the crowd is going to make a difference in what is Florida’s first road game this season.
